Anthea Marette
|
Hip Hop Instructor, Choreographer

Anthea Marette is originally from Chantilly, France where she resided until she was seven. Her life in France ended when her mother, a professional jockey, moved her family all the way to beautiful California. Anthea, or "Thea" as her friends call her, has always loved dance and music. She started off taking ballet classes, but quickly realized that it wasn't the correct fit. Then, when she was twelve, she tried belly dancing and enjoyed that for a few years. While attending college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, she found a new form of expression through African dance. In her senior year of college, she found Hip Hop at Street Heat. At Street Heat, she combined her previous dance experience, while continuing to grow and learn as a dancer. Hip Hop has now become her main focus, and it brings a great amount of joy to her life. She thrives on the fact that she can dance, teach and be part of such a great family at Class Act Dance.
