About the Paso Robles Chamber Ballet History and Mission Now in it's 10th season under the direction of Cheryle Armstrong, Paso Robles Chamber Ballet is proud to be a "new member" of The Regional Dance of America. Paso Robles Chamber Ballet Company is an extension of the Class Act Dance Studio which has brought quality dance training to the San Luis Obispo County for the past 20 years. The mission of the company is to provide each dancer with a solid foundation in ballet training that is built on an extensive and challenging curriculum. Through a supportive, non-competitive environment that upholds the traditions of classical ballet training, dancers are encouraged to achieve their personal goals and explore their natural talents. Their growth and appreciation for the fine art of ballet will evolve through the continued exposure to the art. Education and Training The Chamber Ballet dance program offers dancers many educational and performing opportunities to work with ballet professionals in master classes, choreography, and productions. Workshop classes are held regularly and bring in professional talents from all disciplines of dance. Company dancers are continually partnered with professional dancers and choreographers in a variety of productions including the annual production of The Nutcracker. The production has become a community favorite continually playing to sold out audiences. The youth outreach program allows students throughout the county the chance to see the semi-professional production at no charge. Original contemporary ballets such as Koo Sa Moo, Ishtar, and Creon as well as the classic tale of Cinderella, have continued to enlightened audiences throughout San Luis Obispo County for the past decade. Dancers in the company have been awarded summer and year long scholarships to some of the nations top ballet schools including Julliard, ABT, Joffrey, and Maple conservatory.
